The Private Investment Groups with whom Bear & Company works, are a special group. They are Strategic Equity Investors. Not all Private Equity Groups pass the stringent qualifications to be introduced to business owners by Bear.

They have several common characteristics:

• Professionals with dedicated capital
• Can close transactions quickly
• Add strategic value (more than just money)
• Finite investment time horizon

They are looking for:

• Strong management team
• Great growth prospects
• Specific Industries, focus on different niches
• Size, needs to be a company with some support infrastructure
• Generally, revenue from $25 million to $250 million
